Huang Jin Gui “Golden Cinnamon” is a light Oolong harvested in the autumn of 2019 in south Fujian. It is less famous than Tie Guan Yin which is also made in South Fujian, but it is just as good. If you are a light Oolong fan - Huang Jin Gui is definitely worth trying. The dry leaf aroma includes hay and sweet floral notes, once heated sweet, sunseed and floral notes appear in the aroma composition. The taste is strong, creamy, sweet and floral with a touch of ginseng flavour, the aftertaste is long lasting and includes a tart mouthfeel.
Soothing and invigorating, best prepared in the late morning or daytime.A good option to try out with tea pairs to discover the depths of Huang Jin Gui’s aroma.
