A classic sun-dried Yunnan Black tea. It has a strong aroma that includes berry and fruity notes. The taste is light, similar to a classic Dian Hong but with a berry aftertaste. One of the most memorable aspects of this tea is the aftertaste which seems to last for several hours.
Pay special attention to the brewing process, Shai Hongs are very demanding. Recommended water temperature: 85°C, best prepared in a porcelain Gaiwan, but a teapot can also work - just be more careful during the brewing process. Another important point: try not to pour water directly on to the tea, but pour it on the sides of the Gaiwan. This helps to reduce the risk of burning the leaves.
