Bi Luo Chun is a wonderful Green tea with a very poetic names which can be translated as " Emerald spring spirals". It is one of the top ten most well-known Chinese teas. Its history goes back 2 thousand years. It is traditionally produced on the shores of the Taihu lake on the Dongting peninsula. Bi Luo Chun has hairs on its leafs which sets it apart from other teas.
Bi Luo Chun is light, fresh, grassy and floral. The flavour has slight berry and pumpkin seed notes . The aroma is gentle, fruity, floral with hints of honey and (this is going to be a little unexpected) ham! The taste is mild, thick, silky, sweet and refreshing. Recommended brewing temperature is 70-75°С (158-176°F). Tea-to-water ratio is 4 g. (0.14 oz) per 100 ml. (3.5 oz) of water. It can be prepared in porcelain or glass teaware. Recommended brewing methods are Pin Cha. The tea is very sensitive to steeping time, it is easily oversteeped.
