A tea with a history that goes back 2 thousand years, the name Lui Bao can be translated as “Six Castles” which may be due to the fortes which were once situated in these regions. Liu Bao Hei Cha is made in Guangxi province, Liu Bao village.
The dry leaf aroma is very subtle and includes notes of an old cellar with beets. The heated leaf has an aroma that includes medicinal, custard and woody notes. The taste is woody, mushroomy, with a slight tartness in the aftertaste. Full-bodied and strong. The woody and nutty aftertaste last for a long time.
