A bold, young Sheng pressed into a peculiar twisted shape. The heated leaf aroma is fresh and smoky. The flavour profile includes notes of prunes, red berries, bergamote, lilac and tea rose. With every steep smoke and tobacco tones make their way into the flavour palette followed by a slight saltiness. The aftertaste is sweet and sour with a light astringency.
Cha Qi is gradual, warming and soothing. A good option for morning tea sessions, long daytime work sessions and sleepless nights. Best brewed at water temperature no higher than 90°C. Can be brewed in a glass, thermos or using the Pin Cha method. First steep should be a bit longer than usual to allow the tea to open up, consecutive steeps should be shorter to avoid bitterness.
