Yongde balls are not tightly pressed and easy to brew. The aroma includes notes of apple with a slight pleasant sourness that’s satisfying to the taste buds. The liquor is green and clean. The taste is gentle, light with a subtle astringency that transitions into a sweetness. The aftertaste has a dominant plum flavour with a slight sourness which sometimes shifts into notes of sweet apple. The third and fourth steeps have a deeper astringency, so it’s best to steep them quickly to keep balance and get a more gentle brew.
A good, clean tea perfect for everyday tea sessions, especially for those who prefer a stronger brew.
