Bao Ding Ri Chu or Red Sun from Bao Ding is a Shu Puerh from Yunnan province.
The aroma is rich and voluminous consisting of creamy mushroom and nut notes with a touch of sweetness. This Chinese tea is viscous and thick with a long-lasting aftertaste. The flavour is rich and gentle combining smokiness and creamy sweetness. Depending on the mood it can help to relax or to boost-energy.
Recommended brewing temperature is 95-100°С (203-212°F). Bao Ding Ri Chu is best prepared in clay teaware. Tea-to-water ratio is 5 g. (0.18 oz) per 100 ml. (3.5 oz) of water. It can handle up to 10 steeps. This Dark Puerh can be brewed during any time of the day: morning, afternoon or evening.
