Shu Puerh Bulan Da Shu is a pleasant and simple Shu pressed into small 100g. cakes. The dry leaf has a modest aroma which leans closer to dusty cellar, earth and wood notes rather than more refined prune and date tones. Once heated the leaf aroma acquires sweet and fruity notes. The liquor is a dark reddish brown tint, quite thick in texture. A great way to start the day, no rough edges, just smooth consistency. The aftertaste includes a pleasant chocolaty sweetness. Prepare using water at approximately 95-98°C. Can be brewed in a cup or using the Pin Cha method. Soothes and helps to warm up, not very energizing.
