Oolong Grape Gaba is harvested from tea bushes that grow on Ali Shan mountain at a height of 1000 meters. It undergoes a fermentation process in an airless chamber to which nitrogen is added. This allows the tea leaves to preserve a high level of GABA, gamma amino butyric acid, an important inhibitory neurotransmitter of the central nervous system. Due to this GABA tea has a calming effect and helps to organize thoughts. It is considered to increase mental activity.
The heated leaf has an aroma that consists of linden, cherry and sweet honey toast. This Taiwanese Oolong has a tosty raisin flavour with a hint of apple pie. It brings about a balanced state of mind setting a warm and cozy mood. A great choice no matter the occasion.
Recommended brewing temperature is 85-95°С (185-203°F). Grape Gaba is best prepared in porcelain teaware. Tea-to-water ratio is 5 g. (0.18 oz) per 100 ml. (3.5 oz) of water. It can handle up to 7 steeps and can be brewed during any time of the day: morning, afternoon or evening.
