Fo Shou 佛手 - Buddha's Palm - North Fujian oolong from the Wuishan region 武夷山. First variety 一级. Harvested and processed in early May 2016 under clear weather 天气晴. Master Zhang 张, after evaluating the quality of the leaves, chose a medium fire 中火 - which forms a balance between flavor and aroma and allows the tea to store well. The tea was harvested by hand手工, then underwent the classic processing (withering, shaking, fermentation, twisting, shaking, warming) and warmed three times over charcoal.
In the aroma, its sweetness is mellow, lush, and kind. On the palate, the sweetness is honeyed, tinged with honeycomb wax. The melody of the taste is rich - there are berries and spices, and a bit of citrus sourness. This tea is easy to drink and juicy. The variety got its name for two reasons: its large round leaf looks like an open palm, and it also looks like the leaves of a citrus plant whose fruit has the shape of a hand with long fingers. This plant is very revered by Buddhists and is also called the Buddha's Palm.
