Cha Hai, or also called a sharing pitcher, is a piece of teaware used to distribute the tea among those drinking it after the tea has been poured into the Cha Hai from the teapot, Gaiwan or any other teaware item used to steep the tea. The Cha Hai helps to prevent oversteeping and to share the tea fairly among those taking part in the tea session or ceremony.
