Ya Shi Xiang can be translated from Chinese as ”the smell of duck droppings.'' It is known for its stunning, rich orchid aroma.
According to one legend the farmer which invented the tea was afraid that someone may want to steal the fragrance and made up a repulsive name for it. In reality Ya Shi Xiang has a wonderful floral and honey aroma, it is a refreshing tea, the flavor is fruity and floral with a long-lasting aftertaste.
Ya Shi Xiang can be served during the morning, afternoon and evening. A wonderful tea for a good long tea session that will get positive vibes going.
Best prepared in porcelain teaware. Recommended brewing temperature is 85-90 °С (185-194°F). Suggested brewing method is Pin Cha, may be steeped up to 8 times. Tea-to-water ratio is 6 g. (0.21 oz) per 100 ml. (3.5 oz) of water.
